Beachcombing along our coastlines

Australia’s mainland coastal length is 35,877km long. There are also more than 16,000 shipwrecks in Australian waters. Plus, with so many marine species in our waters, you can find all sorts of treasures on your local beach.

Did you know? In South Australia, many species found in the sea and along our southern coastlines are found nowhere else in the world.
