Stay safe on our beaches. Surf Life Saving SA helps keep our beaches safe through patrols, training programs and education. It is an important part of Australian local communities and is the largest volunteer movement of its kind in the world.
Local Surf Life Saving clubs provide a range of water-based activities. Children aged 5-13 can join the Nippers program and learn to have fun and be safe at the beach.
Did you know? Surf lifesaving originated in Australia in 1907 in response to drownings at local beaches in Sydney.
